Batam 2 Days 1 Night Trip (Last Day)

It’s the last day of our trip. Indeed a really short trip. Initially, we planned to wake up early to watch sun rise along the beach. Our alarm was set to 0430. When we woke up, the sky was still very dark. So we re-set our alarm to 0500. Woke up again, and it’s still very dark. The third time we woke up, the sun had already rised!!! What a waste!!! We missed the beautiful sun rise. I promise to catch it the next time.

We ended up waking at 0830, prepared ourselves and went down for breakfast. The breakfast corner has a pretty awesome view. We were seated at the window side with a beach view. Pretty! As for the breakfast, it’s not really nice. The only thing that I like was the sausages. Other than that, nothing else.

My plan for the second day was to go for water sports. While eating half way, the sky turned really dark and it started to drizzle. I guessed that water activities could not be carried out. Nothing else that we can do at the resort other than walking along the beach. Yes, that’s what we did while waiting for the rain to stop.

Finally, the rain stopped completely. We went to the club house (located beside the beach) to check if I could do parasailing with the weather condition. Sadly, no. I waited for another 1.5 hours because the wind was too strong for me.

After 1.5 hours, I was allowed to proceed on with my parasailing. Excited!!! Life jacket on, harness on, ready to fly!!! About 3-4 people helped to prepare and my job was to stand there and wait for instructions. 2 people were standing behind me holding the parachute, 2 people were on the speed boat pulling the parachute and I was hold on to the rope linked to the parachute. 1….. 2……. 3……. run, lifted up my leg and I’m up in the air. Pretty cool! It would be more fun if my friend (Jian Ying) could go up with me! But overall, it’s a pretty cool experience. Doing parasailing at Turi Beach Hotel cost 44 SGD nett. I thought that was pretty expensive. That’s one of the reason why I only went for one water activity. Haha.

Headed back to hotel for a shower before checking out. Showered, finished packing my stuff and there’s still time left before checking out. Jian Ying and I decided to sat down at the balcony for a chat. Too engrossed in chatting that we missed our check out time. We were late by 1 hour because the time on our phone was based on Singapore’s timing. Awesome -_- Thankfully, there’s no extra charges.

Our ferry is at 1630, which means that we had 3 hours more to go. We sat at the lobby for the 3 hours. What did we do? ? Photo taking and chatting. Time flies when you have a good companion. It’s 1545. Time to board the shuttle bus towards the ferry terminal. Goodbye Batam Turi Beach Resort. I had a great stay with you! See you again many years later!
