Second day of the trip and we were all ready for The Flying Squirrel. We came to know about The Flying Squirrel through Tripadvisor and we booked the tour package through Flying Squirrel Website (http://treetopflight.com/) which cost 1999 BAHT per pax. This package includes to and fro transport from our hotel as well as lunch. There are 3 different timing for this package which are 0700, 1000 and 1300. We picked the 1000AM one so that we can sleep a bit longer 😀
We had hotel breakfast before heading out. Surprisingly, the hotel breakfast taste pretty good as compared to the other hotels that I have stayed in. The spread was not a lot but it’s sufficient.
We waited at the lobby for the Flying Squirrel Van to arrive. That person took quite a while to pick up us. Why? Because we waited at the wrong lobby. Awesome! The ride to the destination was about an hour and it’s quite bumpy. Do bring some motion sickness medication.
Finally arrived at the destination. We were asked to fill up a form and deposit our bags in the locker. Oh yes, remember to bring a some pouch with you to put your phone. If you slipped your mind, just borrow from the staff. They are very friendly.
After putting on the helmet and harness, we were ready to go! We took a lorry up and the slopes were damn steep. GRAB TIGHT AND DONT FALL! Went up and hill and slowly fly all the way down!
The last station was a slide. The whole flying took about 3-4 hours. After which, the van took us back to the lunching corner. The food wasn’t very nice. Plan for a place to eat after this 😀
Got back to our hotel, took a nice shower. Rested a while before heading down to the night market. We totally had no idea what food is nice around the area so we decided to pick one randomly. Walked all the way and saw a this stall that sell beef soup noodle. We were too tired to walk further so we decided to just settle with that. Lucky us, it tasted good.
That’s it for the day. Goodnight!
